Established in 1907 by Sri Arumuga Moopanar, Emar Silks & Readymades began as a humble textile business serving the people of Kovilpatti. What started with fabrics carried on foot soon grew into a trusted household name through hard work, honesty, and a passion for quality.
Between 1947 and 1985, Shri Ramachandra Moopanar expanded Emar’s legacy with dedication and customer care, transforming it into one of South Tamil Nadu’s most respected textile destinations.
Since 1985, Sri R. Venkat Ramani and R. Murugan have continued this journey with innovation, modern infrastructure, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Today, Emar Silks & Readymades shines as the only textile showroom with over 100 years of service, offering a wide variety of silk sarees, fancy designs, and readymades for men, women, and children — a perfect blend of tradition and modern style.
